Community Action of Napa Valley (CANV) has joined forces with the St. Helena Hospital Foundation Mobile Health Program to expand access to essential wellness screenings and nutritious food options for Napa Valley residents.
“This collaborative effort aims to improve the health and well-being of underserved individuals and families, ensuring they have access to critical resources that support their overall wellness,” said a news release.
“This partnership underscores the importance of community-driven initiatives in addressing the interconnected issues of food insecurity, health access, and community wellness,” said Glen Newhart, president, and CEO of the St. Helena Hospital Foundation. “By joining forces, CANV and the St. Helena Hospital Foundation Mobile Health Program are taking significant steps to create a healthier, more resilient Napa Valley.”
The partnership between CANV and St. Helena Hospital Foundation will focus on several key initiatives designed to address both health and nutrition disparities within the community. Initiatives include working with Napa Valley schools, collaboration with Adventist Health St. Helena nurses and clinical staff, distribution of food at free markets, health fairs and community events and senior program development.
“We are thrilled to begin rolling out these programs across Napa Valley,” said Drene Johnson, executive director of Community Action of Napa Valley. “Our goal is to create a ripple effect, improving health outcomes and ensuring that more families have access to the resources they need to thrive.
“This partnership is an important step toward a healthier, more resilient Napa Valley, and we look forward to expanding our impact in the months ahead.”
