is designed to give those with no experience an opportunity to learn a new career skill and gain employment as a prep cook or other basic kitchen position in one of Napa Counties most dynamic industries. Training includes 3 months of hands-on food preparation and classroom instruction. Students learn cooking, food preparation, sanitation and restaurant operations. The program is taught by a professional chef.
Who is eligible for the training?
The program targets low-income people throughout Napa County with little or no culinary experience. Many students come from other programs of Community Action. Referrals from other community partners are also invited to apply.
